Join us for Part I of a two-part series on diversifying the bench in the federal and state courts presented by the Multicultural Bar Alliance (MCBA) and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA), and co-sponsored by Alliance for Justice (AFJ), California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA), and the State Bar of California Council on Access and Fairness (COAF). 2 hours of MCLE credit (including 1 hour of Elimination of Bias) will be provided.

Those who are seriously considering applying for a judicial appointment in the near future should attend this program, but lawyers at all stages of their careers and law students are also encouraged to attend.

Please register by July 21 by calling Maria Torres of MABA at (213) 749-2889. Admission is $20 for attorneys and free for law students. Please see the event flyer for a complete list of panelists and more details.

Part II of this series, planned for later this year, will be a workshop for those who are in the process of applying for an appointment to the bench and who wish to consult with mentors and have their applications reviewed by persons knowledgeable about and involved in the process.
