APABA is pleased to present this year's annual May Asian Pacific American Heritage Month event, Empowering Our True Selves for Success:  Recognizing and Overcoming Race-Based Implicit Bias in the Workplace, on Thursday, May 31 from 6 to 8:30 pm at the Ronald F. Deaton Civic Auditorium, located at 100 W. 1st Street in Los Angeles, CA 90012.  Please join us for this timely program, addressing implicit bias issues and significantly tools for overcoming such bias in the growth of Asian-American professionals and leaders in the workplace and beyond, in the intention of greater advancement and empowerment of the Asian Pacific American community.   Food will be provided


We are excited to have panelists Cyndie M. Chang, Esq., Los Angeles Office Managing Partner of Duane Morris LLP, Annette W. Wong, Esq., Mindfulness Coach and Co-Host of Break Form Podcast, John Kim, M.A., LMFT, Psychotherapist and Life Coach, and Thomas Sy, Ph.D., Professor at UC Riverside share their different stories and perspectives on the topic.  This event is qualified for 1.5 hours of Elimination of Bias MCLE credit


As a community program, this will be a no fee event, open to all members of the public, but registration is required
