APABA Is proud to sponsor an event featuring an evening with Curtis Chin, a celebrated filmmaker and author of the new memoir, "Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant." The memoir chronicles Curtis’ life growing up Asian American in the Black and White city of Detroit, coming out in his working-class immigrant community, as well as being a first-generation college student at the University of Michigan. The event is hosted by Stop AAPI Hate and The Democracy Center at the Japanese American National Museum.
